Investigations

Seventy-two case files on money, power, and the machinery of persuasion — each one tiered by confidence and anchored to the public record.

How to read these

Primary sources first. Claims here are anchored to the document itself wherever one exists — the statute, the SEC filing, the court order, the roll-call vote, the executive order — not to someone’s characterization of it. Where the only available source is reporting, it is named.

Claims are tiered by confidence. High confidence means a primary document says it. Medium confidence means a credible outlet calculated or reported it without an audited disclosure behind it. The tier is stated next to the claim, not buried.

What the evidence doesn’t prove is stated too. A documented conflict of interest is not proof of a crime, and these pages say so where it applies. The strongest case for the other side gets stated fairly before it gets answered.
